It depends what you class as success. Someone like Alan Curbishley or Martin O'Neill has the power to win over fans and remain loyal, but Alex Ferguson or Paisley are clearly the big "winners". I'd have to say I'm a big fan of Bobby Robson personally. The nicest man in football.

If your asking all time Ill say Rinus Michelle , the man who invented " Total Football", else Fabio Capello, Giovanni Trapatonni are two of the most sucessfull club coaches. Dont forget Arsene Wenger & Carlo Ancellotti. Then there is Bora Milutinovic who has the record of taking 5 DIFFERENT teams to wc- Mexico (86), Costa Rica (90), USA (94), Nigeria (98), China (2002)

I think Brazilian coach Peryera is the best in that field managed to give them the cup in 1994 and as assistant also we can name Roge Lommer for french managed to take the cup without a single defeat

Who else but Mario Zagalo, he was a player with the brasilian team when that won the world cup in 1962, coach arguably the best Brasilian football team that won the 1970 world cup & still coaching them till today.
