Here this might help - it was quite interesting. Just in case you don't know - the article talks about shooting WD-40 into a GC-MS. A GC is a gas chromatography machine. It's used to help separate components of a solution. Hope it helps!

it doesnt evaporate under high heat, and lasts long, i dont know what its made of.....read the can
