I questioned my 10 closest friends and found only 6 to like living here. I am wondering, is it just my friends, or is the average 4 in 10 Americans not like being in America?

I would just as soon leave if I had a good reason to do so.

There are better places to live but most of them do not allow bums to become resident or citizens.

My primary complaint is being associated with a gang of ignorant bigots who value superstition, bigotry & ignorance more than advancement, tolerance & enlightenment.

Neither major political party represents me or my interests, they are equally corrupt and there is little anyone can do about it because they both cater to the extremists. And the middle divides, which leaves the extremists in control.

America is a nation in decline and the extremists are steadily drilling holes in her hull while she sinks.

As opposed to living in another country...I would prefer America just because I think we have the most rights here. In that aspect I do feel proud to be an American. Plus we have all types of climate here and can live wherever we want :)
However the current administration is an embarrassment to Americans, combining religion and politics and acting as if we are gods. I don't like it and it makes me dislike the idea we portray.

Your sample is too large, only 15 people live in America. But the answer is that 11 like it here, while 4 want to leave.

I've been to America lots of times on business, and my heart sinks when I need to go.... I think your country has descended into moral decline and the smile never quite reaches your eyes. Most Americans I've met don't ever seem to come across as genuine.

You are like one large, fat dysfunctional family.... is my view and a view many of us here in Europe share. If I had to move to North America, then I would head to Canada.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking the moral high ground here, the UK is fast declining as well as other Western Europe societies....

You need to head East to Asia Pacific region for genuine warmth, kindness, respect and understanding.

I do love living in the USA but people are free to leave if they wish. A lot of people are trying to get in so we must be doing something right! I am planning to move to a different part of the country. I am saving up money for a move to New Hampshire as part of the Free State Project:

I enjoy America. I've seen what it's like in other places in the world and I like the way we live, the way our goverment is run, I like our freedom, the security and structure, and the natural beauty is breathtaking. Of course there is alot of good elsewhere. Mexico is fun in some places and has great natural sites to visit. I would like to see India and the Italian Alps. Theres alot more out there but I was raised in America so this is my home.

I don't think it's a matter of whether they like to live here. It might be a matter of where the country is heading. I found that a lot of people like to live here but they aren't pleased with where things are going. I love living here but I can see why people would want to leave.

I love living in America. We are a free nation. So those that are unhappy are free to leave, that is if they can fulfill the requirements of other country's immigration laws. Not everyone welcomes immigrants with open arms.

America is the best, by far. I've been to many different countries and none compare to America. Alot of citizens of America don't know what it is like in another country, it's easy to judge if you have never been any where else what do you have to compare it to.

If you can find a place that will accept you, you can leave the USA. Therefore, there is no excuse for a person to live here that does not want to.
