When your light is on , your ABS is off, and the brakes act like normal ( may skid\slide) each of your wheels has a speed sensor to tell a computor when the wheel is slipping, most likely a speed sensor failed but since you hit a pot-hole, there is a chance that you damaged a connection near the wheel that went in hole, look around tire, the sensor may have just came unplugged or broke a wire

My 'ninety seven Outback does an same component. I easily ought to hit the risk button a number of cases to get them off, and then now and again then the turn signals gained't artwork, till I hit it some extra cases... apparently it sticks and there has easily been a keep in mind on some 3 hundred and sixty 5 days fashions to fix the swap. verify your 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, it will be a free restoration on the dealership!

What's a chuck hole?

Anyway, you should definitely have it checked out. If there is a problem with the ABS, this can cause your breaks to lock up suddenly. This happened to my stepdad.

Look for a damaged speed sensor or its associated wiring on that wheel. Failing that, you'll need to take it to a dealer for evaluation.

You obviously broke something, maybe a sensor on the wheel. I would take it to a mechanic to find and repair the problem.
