there isn't anything you can do about it, would you rather know or not know ahead of time? Granted if government KNEW it was definitely going to hit, let's say you have about 15 minutes before it hits. I would not want to know. I mean why know? If the truth is we are going to meet our loved ones in heaven (or even if that isn't true) -- does it make any difference?? Wasn't sure of category to put this.

I dont think there would be any problem like that if its a medium size meteor as that would be the opportunity to dispose off all the nuclear weapons all the countries together have amassed.
What better opportunity can u get to cleanse the earth of such deadly material.
And with so much advanced space organisations in Russia,US,India ... i dont think we could jus know about it in just 15 mins and we have no time react.Thats a rare possibilty.
And if at all the Meteor is so big that a nuclear weapon wouldnt be effective then its going to destroy the whole solar system so no point tryin saving Earth.
