How do I name this job when using a search agent? I have tried " dialysis machine tech" but I'm not getting any matches on monster.com I have taken a class which certifies me to work on the actual equipment..I was formerly a patient care tech in dialysis but I want to get away from the actual patient care end of the business and just repair the equipment when it breaks down. Now, that i'm looking for work..it seems like a hard field to get into. Any info??

Both the Davita and Fresenius websites have career links on them. Between the two chains, they represent the majority of the dialysis units in the US. If you are looking in a particular area, I'd recommend calling any units around. www.dialysisfinder.com can give you a local list.

I work at a Fresenius clinic as a PCT, and we refer to the repair people as "biomed technicians". If you go to fmcna.com and click on Career Opportunities, select the job category "Technical Services". As of today there were about a dozen opportunities across the country, so with luck, you'll find one that works for you.
