tell your boyfriend that he is wrong.
it isn't God that made that happen, except the people living in it, God never did anything bad to Earth, we the people living in it, are the one's responsible. God made Earth, why would He do that??
and one more thing, if God was the one who did it, then let it be.God is the one who created us, we are very lucky to have the chance. so whatever God has in store of us, then let it be. we don't have control over our live. God does.

God didn't cause that. If your computer stopped working or got a virus would you say that it was God's fault? You can't blame God for something like that. God is a forgiving God, not a punishing God. That tsunami was a natural disaster - the world can't be perfect, and this was one of the imperfections. The most you can do for the children and innocent people is pray for them.

Yes, God punishes sin... but that's why JESUS came to this world... The punishment for sin IS death.. BUT Jesus already paid that price for us. He died once for ALL our sins. God will not take your life and bring you back as anything, He only wants you to love HIM and Believe. But there will come a time when God says enough is enough, like the flood in Noah's day, when if you think the tsunami was bad then read the book of Revelation and see what is in store for this world.

You know there is a reason for everything. Some good will come out of everything. You might not be able to see it right away.
For instance: Let's say you got in a car accident. You are fine, but our car is messed p. Now insurance will go up and you ask "God why me?". Well how about this, what you did not have that small car accident and 2 miles down the road you hit this minivan who had 2 little kids in it and everybody died. See, it is not easy to see the good out of a bad. But trust me there is always one in it.
And, don't think about these stuff a lot. You will go crazy.

I think He who gives life has a perfect right to take it back whenever and however He wishes!
The decisions of how He intends to run His created world in a particular manner are taken by Him alone! and He has been taking them for thousands upon thousands of years now; we mortals with a total average life of 60 or so years cannot see into the reason of why the All Wise does something! And it is beyond our scope to make Him answerable to or to make Him change His decisions!
As to what the innocent children did to deserve this...do you think it would have been more approriate to leave only children behind? Orphan, homeless children? and for that matter what have the children in some parts the globe done to deserve what they get...hunger, forced labor, rape!or what have the children with better homes, food and education done to get them! extend the question...what do human being do to deserve what they get good or bad...are the richest always the best in character...hardly so...
God does not distribute destiny like this...true a part of it He has left in our hands...but for the more settled facts it is He who decides who gets what...and this nothing to do with who has done what!He decides and we are left with no option but to accept them!

This is what we call a Natural Disaster!!!....so is god responsible for all those children all over the world with AIDS????...or dying of malnutrition ?...quit looking for someone to blame on everything.
You do realize that there is a monsoon every year in the Indian Deltas that kill about a million people? its the earth's natural cycle, some years it is less than others.

God is merciful and all knowing... He rains on the just as well as the unjust. He is no respect of person. What He allows is always for good, we may not understand it, may not even like it; but He is God. And the Bible tells us that even the unbeleiving atheist one day will have to confess that He exsist. So to honestly answer your question, don't waste your time wondering why God does what he does, He is God and he has ALL POWER in His hand. No matter what any of us say, like, enjoy, or think. much love truth son.
