If you want a car that saves gas I would reccomend a Toyota Corolla they are pretty cheap, even the newer ones, but the thing is that there is less space inside when there are people sitting in the back. I also think the Honda Accord is a pretty good car, it's dependable, its roomy, and it doesn't take up too much gas.

I would suggest looking into a Honda Civic, there are different models and looks (like EX and DX), depends on you. They also have a 2 door sports car looking one and you can own one for under $12,000. Honda's are very reliable, I previously owned 2 and I am currently driving a newer model Honda.

Good luck with your decision because it really depends on you and what you want.

I've recently purchased a great little commute ride that I'm thrilled with. It's a 4-dr, frnt whl dr, rack & pinnion automatic trans, with a/c that gets b'tween 36 & 42 mpg!! My 2003 Toyota Echo cost $8,500 @ 63K miles - but the resale values remain solid & I fully expect to get well over 150K miles from her. They're not made anymore and a little difficult to find in CA. Should be a bit cheaper elsewhere. Good-hunting to you!

I also have a 'ninety 9 Miata on the marketplace for much less. It has a J/R supercharger, 4-a million header, 2.5" exhaust, nology wires, good aluminum wheels and a roll bar. 165Hp on the tires and handles better than merely approximately something.

If you want a car that is 2-door, get a Toyota Celica GT or GTS. Plus they last forever!!! Toyota or Honda vehicles would be your best bet.

Try getting a year or two year old Impalla or Grand Prix. They are very well built cars, and they have tested well, get good milage, and are comfy for long trips.

Are you talking about Japanese cars, or just any kind of car, because you're in the Honda Section here. Try getting yourself a Honda Civic. Or a G35. I dunno. You have $12K. Go crazy.
