Take your pick...it's no wonder that over 600 farmers have committed suicide this year only...and the following links don't even cover the real reasons...It's a shame that farmers think that by using pesticides, they are advancing into the 21st century. Actually, they are advancing into high debt as a result...not to mention the high price that Monsanto was charging were for Indians...until they bargained the price down....A google search, "Indian Agriculture, problems" brought up the following additional factors.
