i am an asian living in america since birth after my grandparents migrated.. i am in love with my neighbor whos 20 and a smokin chick.. and the feeling is mutual.. but theres a problem.. her dad is a racist.. and hates asians and african americans and probably jews since he was always mad at our jewish neighbors.. my girlfriend and i are in college so i was asking. should i marry her and leave the neighborhood and abbandon her racist dad, or how should i talk this out with her dad.. i mean she still cares for him..

I think you should do that if you guys are in love maybe he will stop his racist ways see I'm an African American I am 13 hear me i got wisdom and I know a couple (person my mommy works with) but it was a black and white relationship white ladies parent didn't approve of it because they didn't like black people but they still got married and the parents ended up getting saved and liking the black dude well maybe the dad wont get saved but maybe her farther will see how much you guys are in love and it wouldnt matter and maybe he will stop his racicst ways I wish you nothing but the best in your life I hope everything will go great

She is in a harder place than you are. She needs love and support from you because she is facing a life-long decision. It may be that her father will stop talking with her if you marry. You need some wise council from older married couples you both trust. You need to have some serious cut to the quick discussions about your proposed future life and if you will both be able to stay committed and faithful to each other for a lifetime. Sometimes we do things our parents are not going to approve, but you must both be able to honestly say that you will have no regrets about your decision. I don't know if you are a praying man, but now would be a great time to ask God for help and discernment.

I think you should have a big talk with her and her dad. If you do get married and run away it will wither not work or you will have to face her dad eventually. I suggest you be really nice to him for a while then progress things as you go. And if you both really love each other and you don't just love hear because of her LOOKS go for it.

Wow..that is a very complicated situation. Are you two willing to stand the frustration that her father can be over time? The girl needs to sit down with her dad and tell her whats going on, tell him subtly cause he might burst. I dont think that she will stop communicating with her father cause after all, he is the dad. But if an option for you two to work out is to leave the city or the state, i guess you should.

You're not marrying her dad - you are marrying her!! If she really loves you and is ready to possibly sacrifice - then it will work. There are many families that the in-laws don't get along with the couple. It is very difficult, but manageable. Just make sure you are ready for it and she is really worht it!

Just be the best person you can be, treat your girlfriend well, and be respectful to her dad, even though he's a racist idiot. Once he sees your true personality, hopefully he will be able to see past his racist view and be grateful that his daughter found someone who loves her. Good luck!

It's not really your problem... your girlfriend has to decide whether to live her own life or live under the twisted ideals of her father... She can still love and have a relationship with him, but she has to let him know this is her decision and her life... If he doesn't accept you, he is dishonoring his daughter... At some point he has to grow up...
