Try putting some bicarbonate of soda in small containers inside the car and close the doors for about an hour. The soda would absorbe the odor and should help eliminate the scent

Get some carpet fresh and leave it down for about one hour, ( of couse make sure that the upholstry is DRY) and then use dryer sheets in the car for a couple of weeks
put them under the seat, and tuck them in small places in the car.
tear them and tuck them in the air vents when you run the AC.
this will take about 2 weeks. but it works
you must also vaccum out the car several times
alternate using baking powder and carpet fresh

try buying a 5 pound bag of clay kitty litter, opening the top of the bag and leaving it in the car for several days. it should absorb the odor and any moisture still in the car. on dry days, leave the windows open as much as possible.

Spray it down with Febreze or some other fabric refresher. If that doesn't work try using baking soda and then vacuuming it up
