not if you don't want to be and do something about it. try meeting new people at bars and coffee places. try being a little more outgoing - be the first one to start the talk. you'll find someone if you want to find someone.

No. No one is ever totally lonely. You only become lonely if you choose to close yourself from the rest of the world.

Remember, it is a big ocean out there and there are many fish to choose from.

Cheer up that special person might just be around the corner.

You are only going to be lonely if you let yourself be. I ask this question of myself all of the time. Everytime i wake up and look my self in the mirror and my heart asks me if i will fill it with love or just let it be. I think there are way too many people walking around that have empty hearts....waiting to be filled. Remember...you can only love another when you trully love yourself. If you dont want to be lonely....then dont. Look at yourself....see your true self and get out there. Be happy. Life is way too short to be anything but.

You don't have to be.
Loneliness is not the same as sadness, remember. If all your family members were dead, you might be sad; but you could still reach out to other people and would not be lonely.
If you can find ways to contribute to your community, you will be too busy to worry about loneliness.
The answer to loneliness is reaching out to others -- not to make yourself feel better, but to help them. Every good deed I do chips away at loneliness and adds to my feeling of self worth.
But don't sign up with a volunteer group and expect the others to befriend you and make you feel better. That won't work, trust me. Just work on whatever projects this group you chose is doing. You might or might not become friends with some of the others in the group.
It's getting outside yourself that lessens loneliness.
