A female president would probably be very good for the country. Unfortunately it probably won't happen due to the way of diplomatic relations. In America, women are treated as equals to men, (for the most part) but in many foreign countries, woman are not seen this way. They won't respect a woman as they would a man. Sad But True.

Personally, I think a female would make a great president. It is unfortunate that there are so many chauvinist people in the word that she would not be elected. If she were to be elected, some one would try and kill her. I can only hope that I am not given the choice, I couldn't vote for her. I would feel as if I were setting her up for her death. Too many still see women as venerable and unknowledgeable.
We need to change our world first, but that will never happen. Once I worked in a large electronic chain store and to was amazing to see how many people (men and women) prefer to do business with a man. They didn't care if I was the most knowledgeable or even if I was the manager. All they saw was the fact that I was female. Sad....

What could it hurt? Honestly! If a man can have the job, if we've had only white men running the country for the LONGEST TIME, why can't a woman or minority have a try? All I hear is the same bs that "she'd have a pink house instead of a white house" and that sexist crap! Women have equal opportunities now so why can't we run for president and run a country? Some of the best leaders in the world have been queens - NOT kings! Let a woman have a chance!

Probably you would say, "What are you talking about? It depends on who the guy is. Not all candidates are the same."

It depends on the female. If she's dependable and a hard worker I think it would great to have a female for president.

That's a sexist question. All you should be concerned about is if this person will represent your ideals and your country. That this person is of good moral integrity, and has the best interest of the United states first and foremost on their agenda.

we're getting to that point in american culture where we could accept a woman president. she wud have to be very very wise and respected first. it Will come one day tho. Im sure she will be able to speak better than Bush.
