In my humble opinion, the meaning of life is whatever it means to the person. Life can feel like a series of obstacles, one calamity after another. Life can be one experience after another and how our reactions to those experiences make us feel about the quality or quantity of our life. Are there a lot of friendships and relationships in our lives? What is our reaction to what we ourselves choose to do in our lives? Are we regretting the things we have done or are we regretting things undone? The meaning of life is different for each person.
To me it comes down to making my own peace with myself and my Creator, Whoever or Whatever that means to me. Each person makes their own way through life the best way they can with whatever they brought with them on this journey called life and I wish them all the best.

You have asked a very deep question. Why are we here and what are we here for? If we are just the product of evolution, then we are here only to procreate and to extend the process of change.
Hopefully, we are here for more than that. I'd hate to think that the purpose of life ends as soon as a child is born.
Thinkers in years past gave us this answer for our purpose in being here. "The purpose of man is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever."
That gives me a relationship...........
That gives me a reason to get up everyday and something to look forward to.............
We are not all we could be and certainly not all we should be, but each one of us do have something that goes beyond this life. We have a reason to be here.

Life, as contrasted with non-life, is a multi-faceted concept that may refer to the ongoing process of which living things are a part of the period between fertilisation or mitosis and death.
