Putting password in a folder.?

How do you do it?
I need it for my assignment in computer.
Please explain it clearly and easily. TT_TT

Well you cannot put password to folders, but you can hide it.
If you want to lock your folders there is softwares which can lock the folders.

well u cant' put a password in ur folder without a software like gatekeeper. But if urs is a Word file then u can do it through the following method:-
Open ur file>save as>tools(top right hand corner)>security>enter ur password and their u go nice and safe!
Their is also a way to protect ur document(not a folder):-
just write click on ur document and go to properties>change the 'open with' thingy to some other prograan which cannot work with ur file.
u can also hide ur file by going to properties and checking on the 'hidden' box.

I'm afraid your question is unclear.

The password could be written in a file, and the file put in a folder, but I'm not sure that's really what you want.

It is not possible to put a password on a folder, if that is what you are asking.

If you are just interested in security, write the files to a thumb drive and put it in your pocket.

yes go to ms dos
and select the drive
like ur folder is vikas then ren it
ren vikas vikas+alt+(any five numbers)
it will work try this changing the number
also vice versa for open

if the assignment you want to protect is a word document then you can easily go to the TOOLS menu and click on PROTECT DOCUMENT.
this is a safe $ secure way
