Your question is a bit ambiguous, but i will try to answer. Maradona was banned for 15 months twice in his life. The second was during the 1994 world cup. There was a lot of controversy over this second occurance since Maradona claimed he was unknowingly taking a banned substance because of a cold medicine. Also, the supposedly "random" method of testing wasnt very random since past offenders were being tested almost every time there was a "random" screening. When the 98 world cup came around he was already 36 so he didnt play because of age, much like in 78 when he was only 16 he didnt play because of his age. Also, in 98 he hadnt been taking very good care of himself. He had gotten fat and lazy, and his drug problem had gotten so bad he needed to go to Cuba for a while to rehab his problem. Since then, he seems much healthier. He has resolved his drug problem, and has undergone an operation (stomach stapling) which has greatly reduced his weight.

What is your mean? He was not taken away from Argentina, he lives in Argentina and I think he is just retired from football game. His purpose I think is to found a football school for kid or teach in some club something like that. Sorry, I'm not in Argentina I just heart about that.

i think you are referring to when he was being sent to Cuba for drug rehabilitation.
He is now too old to play in the league, and he had a really bad drug problem in his life not too too long ago.
