homeless person? Do you automatically think they are just bums or do you believe they may have had serious problems that put them there? Most people are 2 paychecks away from losing a place to live (not the rich people of course-regular folk who work hard). I feel bad for all of them regardless of how they got there. It's kind of hard finding a job when you don't have an address or a place to shower, no clothes to wear. It tears me up when I hear people just putting them down when I know it could happen to people facing serious issues. This is the USA and we should be able to take care of our own -- AND I don't believe anyone should be treated like an animal (animals can take care of themselves in the wild).

I always 100% feel sorry for them, because at sometime in their lives someone gave up on them whether it was family or their selves, they lost what they had.

I agree, they are not bums, but people just like us only they are down on their luck. We dont know what circumstances led them to be on the street and we probably would be horrified. I think they are very strong really, I mean put yourself in their shoes...we cant unless we have been there. Whats the solution???

My girlfriend and I used to get them something to eat before we almost got attacked. Now, I donate everything to a church or organization that helps poor people or I give it to people who need it.

you would be surprised at the number of homeless who DO have jobs, but just can't afford housing, and are denied public assitance.

i know this is very judgmentala nd ur probably gonna think im this rich ***** and i dont even mean to think this its jus the first thing that come to my head is that i kinda edge away from them. i know not all of them are like drunks and drugees and stuff but alot of them are and im jus tryin to be causeaus and like wat if they are drunk and they try to liek rob you or rape you. im only thinkin of the worst. somebodys got to?!?!?!?!?!???????????
