My friend is mad at me because I never went to her wedding and didn't give her a gift! the only reason I did not attend was because I was buring my father who past a way just two days prior and I wasn't exactly feeling in the giving mood nor did I feel like celebrating anything, I said sorry and explained this to her but it's clear she still holds a grudge cause she is now saying that she is not coming to my baby shower because she doesn't want to buy me a gift, even after I told her she never has to buy me anything and that I just wanted her to celebrate my child with me! Who's in the wrong?

she is. she should understand the circumstances. tell her to act her age. does she have a heart or not. u wouldnt enjoy the wedding anyway because u would still be grieving,. tell her to get a life and grow up. give her the gift if u want. u dont need to if u dont want to coz no1can force u but definately, she in wrong. a good friend is one who understands u. she seems immature. lifes just too short to argue over things like that. good luck and hope all goes well.
ps if she dunt wanna *** to ur celebration, then stuff her. its her fault. keep ur chin up high and go ahead without her. tell her she dunt need to bring u a gift. her presence there is enough.

I know exactly how you feel - I lost my father a few weeks ago and completely understand how things just go from your mind and you completely forget some things.

As you are pregnant your friend should have had more consideration for how YOU were at this point in time - instead she has shown her true colours by only thinking of herself.

Don't worry yourself over how she is feeling - you concentrate on you and your unborn baby!

So, it's the GIFT she's upset about? Two different people will have two different opinions. If the friendship is the most important issue then just agree to disagree over a dutch lunch & let it go. Mulling the situation over & over will get you what? ...
most likely more fighting, let it go - both of you.

She is. She is obviously a very selfish person who apparently only wanted you there for the gift. You are better off without a friend like that.

Your friend sounds like she's selfish and she should have a great deal of understanding your situation. She's very wrong to act like this to you. Sorry to hear about your dad.

Well I think SHE is wrong. But, I think you could have got her a late present after her wedding. I think you have the right attitude I wish you all the best. HUGS!!
