The simplest thing in life is to live your life in such a way that you make the world a better place for others to live. Whether it be to consume less materials or donate your time, live so that everyday you make this planet a little better for others. Practice kindness. Embrace peace. Humble yourself to serve others.

Walking alone in nature and seeing the grass and the flowers hearing the birds sing hearing the frogs kwaaaak.
The sun is shining - or it is raining very hard - but you are not in a hurry and you are carying a raincoat or an umbrella.
Knowing that you have somewhere to go - a house - that may be a mess - but it is warm - and it has warm and cold running water - a stove - a bath.
You have a bank account and a small allowance that will help you through the month. You are insured for health costs.
You have telephone -
It is not that difficult to see that life is good.

"Simple" is an interesting concept, especially in these complicated days! We yearn for a time when we assume life was stress-free, but people of the past just encountered a different sort of stress.
I have concluded that gratitude is the simplest thing and one of the most powerful. We all have blessings of one kind or another(but we need to pay attention) and gratitude is a great antidote for
the selfishness that leads to conflict between people and nations.
