Alive at this time, although some days are filled with more darkness than light. There are so many awesome things to keep one wanting to be alive, such as the beauty of nature and being able to walk and exercise, eat great food and the companionship of a good friend. The good things seem to overtake the bad ones on most days making me want to be alive.
Looking forward to the day when I enter the afterlife and I believe there will be no more pain and everlasting peace.

I would rather be alive, I would really miss all my family and friends if I were dead. But on the other hand, if I were dead then I would be in heaven getting to meet Jesus and all of my family and friends that have pasted on. So its a tough question.

Hi, well I think I would rather be alive so that I can accomplish things in this world. Once a person is dead they can no longer do anything and feel rewarded.

As a former registrarer in the morgue at Uc Irvine Med. Ctr. I can only tell you that the dead can't speak for themselves or others, provide companionship for existing loved ones, work to change anything and least of all, decide they have made a mistake if the result of their death was their own final decision. Usually this results in guilt on the part of those who were close to that person. Living can be a struggle but you do have choices even with pain and dissability. Steven Hawking is a good example of brilliance in a contourted body.

Alive, alive, alive! Death puts an end to life's slings and arrows but it precludes all the good things too. Every day is shot through with opportunities for good and ill and like the yin and yang they compliment and balance each other. Contentment comes from living in the balance.

I don't know what it would be like to be dead, so I have to say alive.

Thanks for asking such a thought provoking question.
Throughout my life, I've had times that I would have rather been dead. Especially when I was a teenager and thought there was no solution to the problem I faced. Life was far more volatile then.
Then I was fortunate to have children. I wanted to embrace life and live everyday to the fullest.
Now, much older, I grasp every second of life. I want to live forever.
But we really don't have much control over that. If I did, I'd want to be alive.
Thanks again for letting me share. Peace.
