Not more tolerant ..............you just keep yourself to yourself. Hence people don't get to see and confront the bigoted side of your personality.
Could this posting of a question upon "Answers" be like a coming out. Are you maybe coming to terms with something you now see as wrong and looking to confront the inner turmoil ? Can you really change ? These are the questions that perhaps you should ask yourself.
Heres hoping you find the right answers....
PS.........can't be easy for you with 8 million Thais in the city.

The fact that a person does not state his feelings does not mean that the feelings are absent. Intolerance of others begins with the genuine acceptance of other people . Tolerance cannot be shown by silence. Silence about the things that are inherently, wrong gives them a license to continue to exist. Ignorance can only be eradicated by knowledge. Racism can only be eradicated by acceptance of all differences of race. Hate can only be eradicated by love. To refrain from "name calling" only keeps your true feelings hidden. It does not make them go away.
The fact that you have IDENTIFIED YOURSELF as "ignorant, hateful and a racist biggot" is the beginning of insight into the things that you will need to change in order for you to become truly sensitive and tolerant of others-- not the absence of or presence of name calling. Anyone can hide their true feelings behind silence.- even ignorant, hateful and racist biggots of other races can do that.

You need to find the root of your programmed negative thinking, embrace that child within you that's crying to come out, and get a life.

Yes, if you keep your hateful opinions to yourself instead of sharing them, that makes you polite.
