I also suffer from low blood pressue - lower than yrs actually.
Do u have any sypmtoms of low blood pressure: dizziness, constant tiredness? If not, then yr current blodd pressure should be fine.
Normal is 120/80. If u had to choose, low blood pressure wud be better to have than high blood pressure, which brings with it damage to coronary arteries, other arteries and subsequent heart disease.
If u do have symptoms of low blood pressue(mentioned above) u should visit yr doctor. There are medicines u can take, but simply adding a LITTLE salt to yr diet will help.
Salt helps u retain fluid, thus increasing blood volume and thereby increasing blood pressure.
Excercise also helps increase blood pressure, and keeps yr arteries and heart in good shape!
If u decide to donate blood, inform the nurse/doctor present that u have low BP.

Blood pressure changes from minute to minute. Are you saying 116 over 73 is your average, or is it the highest, or the lowest? The old standard "normal" is 120/80 and variance from it is considered normal. According to my doctor, having it a bit lower is better than higher. Less stress to your body.
I think you are concerned over absolutely nothing, but if it really concerns you, go to your family physican and have a discussion.
By the way, don't keep measuring your blood pressure every few minutes, especially on the same arm. If you do, your count will keep rising......

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

That is a near perfect blood pressure. The new standard for blood pressure has recently changed from 120/80 to 115/75. So whatever you're doing, keep it up!!

That is a perfect blood pressure. The American Heart Association changed their criteria, 120 is now considered mildly elevated.

I just recently heard doctors saying that 115 is the new normal instead of 120.

116/73 isn't bad at all, I wouldn't do anything more than likely it will raise with time as more than likely you will get heavier.

I've been in your shoes. Increase excersize, balance your sleep cycle, eat more if you have to keep your weight.
Otherwise, it sounds rather normal.
