Tough to analize even at this point. Their progression will take just as much time as their degression took them dependant on a horrible leadership. At least there are positive steps and movement in a foward stride instead of the bad outnumbering the good!
People are no longer frightened of the daily bombing sounds. Children can actually begin to live and see a life that their parents never knew was there. There is hope and where there is hope is soon to be prosperity.

Unstable due to the terrorist ability to set the two main factions of Muslims against each other. If the Iraqie people ever get tired of fighting each other, and conentrate their effort s agains the people who do not want a stable govt., to flourish there, then it will always be unstable. As far as not completing the job 13 years ago, our leaders followed the U.N. directives, which they were bound to, being apart of the U.N. forces at the time.

it's taken America over 200 yrs. 2 be where it is now, & we're still not where we should be! parts o' the gov. seem 2 be corrupt or they just don't care! it hasn't even been 5 yrs. since we went into Iraq. Iraq is not gonna become some great democracy over night, it's gonna take decades, maybe even centuries before it can even get close 2 being a democracy like America is today. Also, Bush,Sr. should've finished what he started instead of handing it over to his son, and Pres. Bush shouldn't be so worried about pleasing his dad and just be our Pres.

To presidentofallantarcti...
You are quoting out of context.
Saddam said that He believes he will be freed because Bush got himself into a quagmire and will need him to Control the country again.
Then he went on to say that when he is released, Iraq will flourish in 5 years, under his rule.
Have u been watching too much fox news? They tend to misquote alot.

Saddam Hussein was quoted recently as saying that Iraq (not Irag), will "be flourishing in five years". If he can be so optimistic, maybe things aren't so bad.

Tough call....great strides have been made but a lot of work is still to be done. This will just have to play out over the years. We will just have to see how much the people really want their freedom and how much they are willing to work and sacrifice for it like our ancestors did.

It's in the news practically everyday about the bombs that keep going off over there. It's in bad condition now.
