gir national forest is the only home of lions. to reach there from ahmedabad catch somanath express train leaving 9.25 pm reach veraval -last station- at 6,30 morning. From there u will have to go by road.From veraval u can visit NAgava beach of AhmadpurMandavi near Diu, and famous somanath temple.All these places r in gujarat state...that is in western part oh india. veraval is about 825 kms from mumbai.
