When you installed vista, it must have given you an option to back your current installation. if you did that, it must have told you to make an uninstall floppy or there will be an option to uninstall this version of windows. if there is neither, there's no other option but to reinstall everything. before doing that, however, try referring to the microsoft site for vista guidelines.

And in the future, when trying to install beta software of this scale, read the requirements carefully. Also in windows vista you can use the XP style display system, go through the display settings, that shud speed up things.

That's why it's always best to partiton! lol. I Learned this the hard way. Mainly, it's cause ALL of the programs you have downloaded aren't all Vista capable yet. Hence why microsoft put that "Don't install on a main computer"

I Myself am also a Vista Beta Tester, and after it screwing up on me the same way (Slowdowns, background programs from XP running), i basically had to wipe it all clean, and install a fresh copy of XP again.

A Couple nights ago, i asked how to partition a drive, and the thing that works wonders is PartitionMagic 8.0, i've included a link.

Best bet is to re-install XP media again, fresh, and then when it's up and running, get PartitionMagic (From a friend if ya can't buy it), and instal it. Here's the link! It's now known as norton, but, meh, it still does the job, and does it good!

hopefully you still have original disks that came with computer.
Put the first one in and reboot.
If you want an upgraded desktop OS I would suggest buy a Linux magazine and venture to the world of REAL computing software

u just need to find compatible versions for these programs, or look for alternative softwares from other vendors that give u your end result.
