I recieved my first shot on June 7th and had my last period on May 30th. I normally have my period every 21-24 days. So have I have no signs of it starting. I have none of the adverse sided effects of beign on the shot. Is there a possibility of being pregnant? I still use condoms along with the shot. But I not know of there is a waiting period for how the the shot takes to be effective either.

You are probably not pregnant, that is a side effect of the depo, NO PERIOD., you will probably not get a period any more at all... once you stop the depo, your period could come down from 3 to six months after your last shot and it could take you up to 18 months for you to conceive....

Well i was on the depo shot for 3 years and it stopped my periods. I didn't have one for 3 years. Once i stopped taking it i got my period back the next month.

Don't be scared if you don't have your periods cause the shot can do you like that.

There is no waiting period for the shot only takes 24 hours to take effect

You don't get your period while you are on that shot. It is VERY dangerous. And also about 3 or 4 days after you get the shot it goes into effect.

Oh! Depoprovera...the reaction differs from people to people. I took two shots of it and on my first shot my period came in its normal time but non stoping and my Dr gave me pills to correct it and after 7 days of taking the pill my period stoped and didnt come back again even after i have stoped it (Five monthes passed after my first shot). But the chance of you getting pregnant is very little do not worry but when you stop it remeber it will take minimum of three month to leave your body and if you get pregnant during this times (after stopping it) the chance of misscourage is very high.becarefull with hedios depo.
Good luck
