He knows it's a given that I want kids eventually from things I have told him about what my kids will do (ie ballet, baseball etc). He told me that he can go his entire life w/out having kids but his "opinion may change". Should I be mad?

Should I also be mad that he said having kids is something you discuss during marriage (when it should be known before hand what you both want)?

Yes, you should be mad. it's definitely something you discuss BEFORE you marry- after all, marriage is about starting a family, right? He basically led you on for 2 years, listening to your dreams for the future(with regards to kids), and never once told you how he felt? That's nasty. Obviously you love him, and how do you make the decision now, after 2 years of loving someone, to leave him if he doesn't want kids?!? It's cruel. Be mad- and let him know that this is not a game. Don't let him force you into a life where you are the only one making a sacrifice- and not having children is a HUGE sacrifice. Don't let him drag you along either, with promises of him 'maybe changing his mind' in the future. He probably never will. If he doesn't want kids, that's his right- but he should have told you from the start!Good luck!

I don't think you should be mad, that's assuming that he's wrong and has done something bad. It's his opinion and his personal choice of how to live his life. What you should do is discuss it with him and see how he feels and make sure he knows how you feel about it all. You must always remember though that it is a personal preference for having children or not and in this world should never be a given. Talk to him openly and honestly.
