Need to know when the other person receives mail that i send to him/her?

You can use mail client's like outlook express or eudora for a return receipt. But if the receiver use webmail like yahoo or hotmail then you won't get return receipt. If can request read receipt from webmail too.

Tell the post office and they give you a green card to fill out. The card will be mailed back to you after the person receives and signs for the mail.

Yes. It costs extra at the Post Office, but it's very effective. It's a green postcard attachment that has your address on one side and the addressee on the other. Whoever receives the mail signs it and the postcard gets removed and returned to you with the date received and the person's signature.

In your Outlook:
Click on Crea new email > File menu > Properties > Under General Tab there are options for:
1. Read Reciept Requested,
2. Delivery Reciept Requested.

Select the one you need.

It depends on your E-mail program.
Outlook has it in tools/Return Receipt.
Not all have this feature,so check tools.

There is at the post office. Cost about 5 dollars.
