What happened was that Noah got a sudden infusion of liquid assets and had his outfit set up to ride out a rough period, anyhow. Most of what he got, of course, cost everyone else dearly as a result and the whole shootin' match was flushed down the drain. What a ride that must have been! Wild inflation followed by overwhelming recession! And then, of course, with the economy in ruins, he had to rebuild his markets!

God saved Noah for being a rightous man who abided by his laws and decrees. The others were not saved because they were wicked in God's sight and he wanted to wipe them out and start over. God made a pact with Noah that he would never again send the waters to destroy the living creatures of the earth. When you see a rainbow, that is to remember the pact between God and Noah.
