Do you not think that the word love is being missused?At other time is taken for granted.

There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me is...
(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

Love is non existent. It is a word used by a guy to con a girl in to letting them do what they want. Some of the answers I have already read on this yahoo answers are really funny and irrelevant in that some people say love is where you care and feel something for another person. If you care for a person then that is caring, and not love, and feel something for another person that is not in your family is therefore reffered to as lust,
Love can be explained in a family context only in that when a child is born, you love them with all your heart. This is a possibility because the child is yours, and you would care for it like it was your own, and make sure it lives a decent life. This is love becuase you genuinely care.

The word love is over used by people who don't really know what love is. True love is selflessness, True love is something so strong that it makes you feel ill inside.
I suppose there are a range of loving feelings and the word love is used to describe them all, example a car comes in many shapes models and makes but at the end of the day they are all cars!

Yes it is definitely missused!!! Personally I think its not what you say, but its in the things you do that portrays love

Love means to me when you can't be away for that one person for more than an hour and when your away for each other, you just want to be back together. When your together, you never want to part. You share a special bond you don't have with anyone else. You would die to protect the person. When your together, the world just seems to stop and it's only you two in the whole world.

At the moment Love to me means something that nobody undestands, specially men.
I've heard really nice things from men in this group and i really hope they are true...
Everybody says things and in real life what happens is very diferent.
I'm sorry dont get me wrong... I dont hate men at all... nor women but if everybody seems to think posively about love why people (most People) are so biter and lowsteemed when it comes to daily relations with people we dont know...?
Anyway i would love to be inlove...

Mmm...there are many forms of love. God is Love. And yes, I agree with you that love is being misused or rather abused. I would have to sum up by saying love is kind, love is not selfish, love bears all things, believes all things and without love we are empty vessels like tinkling glass and brass symbols.

but it has been miss used by youngsters now a days

Love means being security for me, the knowledge that this person takes you as you are and won't judge you for it.
I do think some people misuse love, its because they hope to have it, so they say the words.
