I love anything and everything that has to do with the paranormal, so I am always up for an expedition. But what you need to realize is that most of the cases of hauntings can actually be something else entirely. One of my favorite shows is Ghost Hunters on scifi. They are wonderful! They don't go in thinking this place is haunted, they look for other possibilities, and 9 times out of 10 they aren't haunted. They truly care about what they are doing. So I guess what I am saying, don't go in all hellbent that you are going to see something. Paranormal research is a truly scientific Field and should be treated with respect.

I wouldn't. I have no desire to go and find things that don't want to be found. If I saw a ghost, I'd wet myself and then run screaming until I passed out. Just so you know I'm not a coward, I have served in the Middle East for the Marines and have done a number of things most people would consider frightening. But I still don't want to mess with something that I can't at least beat up.

My husband and I would love to go ghosthunting. We have had dealings with ghosts before as they seem to find us. We have a "haunted" rental house, and our own personal ghost that I call a guardian angel that is with us 24/7. In the rental house, things are moved, candles lit upon coming home from work, music playing at all hours without the stereo being on. Never actually been seen. Our "guardian angel" plays practical jokes, and has saved us from harm on more than one occasion. My dog and us have both seen the shadows of him. And if he is playing a practical joke, like turning on the shower, if you tell him to stop, he will. (but only for a little while.)

Ghosts wouldn't show up for "tons of people" but you can do smaller groups...like shaggy and scooby. there are ghost tours every halloween, plus a 4-day ghost hunting seminar labor day weekend at Dragoncon.

No. Think about this for a moment. Do you *really* want to annoy spirits from beyond the grave? Don't you think they know where you live? And what would you do if you actually caught one? Where would you keep it? *How* would you keep it? No, if i'm going to have an encounter with the dead, let them come to me. They know where i live.
