I think that the best punishment for them would be to strip them of any trophies that they have won as a result of this scandal and they should be demoted to Serie B or Serie C1. The people that are involved in the scandal should serve at least a year in prison and pay a Huge fine. It is a truly a sad day for the Italian soccer league when people in upper management has to resort to cheating in order to win. They are the ones who should get the severest punishment of all. Unfortunately, as a result of their actions, the whole team has to suffer. Hopefully, in time, Juventus will get through this and be back in Serie A before you know it. For next season, they should be demoted to either Serie B or Serie C 1 and earn there way back to Serie A just like all the other teams that were in Serie B that are now in Serie A. They have to earn it on the football field like it should be.

I dont really know what happened, i watch the English premier league more than the Italian Serie A. but going by the answers, im guessing cheating and matchfixing. And that is a crime as far as im concerned. For a game as popular as this, the money involved is astronomical, and its no wonder that people would do anything to earn that extra buck. But it is just SO unfair on the millions of die-hard football fans. We always want to see a great competitive football match, where the teams battle it out and the trophy is hard-earned(Not Bought!!). If in this current scenario, they've identified the guilty, then the severest of punishments should be handed out, to send a warning to other teams. as a football fan, i hope this problem is rooted OUT! as far as Juventus goes, kick 'em out of Serie A, strip them of their trophies like the other members suggested, those trophies were bought, and hence not theirs rightfully! The angry fans should ask for nothing less.

The best penalty would be demotion to at least Serie B, if not Serie C. This would send out a strong message that anyone involved in tainting the beautifull game would not get away with it. It would also deter other teams from doing anything similar in the future. Dealing with cheating like match fixing, and arranging which referees are to ref each game MUST be dealt with harshly if we are to stand any chance of stopping corruption and money ruining the best game in the world.

I love Juventus but I hope they get demoted to Serie C, and that Serie C will be broadcast all over Europe so everyone could enjoy a goal scoring machine against rank amateurs. Great goals, lots of them, and a sure promotion would make for a fabulous story. And ehm, should Juve disappoint, it'd be a better story still. I'm not worried though, they'll be back and much stronger for it.
