The Titans led by Cronus were first. Then their children, led by Zeus, were known as the Gods. Was/is there a name for whatever the third wave (the grandchildren) was/is going to be?

Actually, Gaia was first.
Prometheus fortold that Thetis would have a child who would be greater than his father and only if Thetis had born a child to Zeus would Zeus have been overthrown (by that child). Since Zeus married her off to a mortal, and her son has lived and died, there will be no one to take Zeus's place.

There is no official name for the third generation as any and all attemps made by that generations have (according to the myths) failed completely.

There were several prophecies saying a son of Zeus born to one of three women would over throw him and start a new era of gods. The first woman was Mynemome (Goddes of Memory), who Zeus diguested to obtain her power and prevent her from giving birtt to a son. All ready pregnant when consumed, she gave birth to Athena inside of Zeus' head, where she matured in a matter of seconds an was released into the world via migrine pains and an axe to Zeus' head.

Second was Thetis (all ready mentioned) who was said that her first born son would over throw his father and rule his kingdom. She was married off to a mortal and gave birth to Achilles.

Third was Seleme, mother of Dionysus, but since Hera tricked her into viewing Zeus in his true form, she perished before her son came to full term. Zeus then carried the child in the calf of his leg, thus making him born of Zeus not a the mortal mother and thus nulling the prophecy.

A forth legend tells of how Gaia, sick of Zeus' rule over her and the rest of the first generation, concieve and bore a great seven headed dragon that breathed fire called Typhus. It was only with the combined might of all the Olympians that the beast was subuded and buried under the mountains of Athens. Theoretically, if he were ever released, he could be the down fall of the Olympian gods and the start of a new generation, though not of grandchildren.

maybe the age of the titans and gods is over. Maybe the gods never named any successors.Maybe its time for us humans to act on our own without hindrance or guidance from the heavens.
