Thats a tough one. I don't think it's because they are mean, it's because they represent something that their father isn't. Nice guys always finish last. My son is a nice guy, but the girls come to him for help in studies and etc. They date the ones that have no sense and have no ability to be responsible, yet anyway. I do believe it is a bad boy syndrome that by college most will come out of, I think they think it's cool. By the time it's time to settle down they are looking for the nice guys.
Be a nice guy, it will pay off handsomely someday, trust me. I was one who dated the bad boys and married a really nice quiet guy who is adorable.

First of all, that is an over simplification of matters. Most women don't like mean guys. But those who do, it's because their self esteem is low, and/or because they don't know how to have a healthy relationship so they go back to what they're familiar with. It's sad.

I'm a mean man and they doesn't usually like me. But anyway, they usually like mean man cause they are woman, and womn need to feel protected, and they think then mean guys are strong guys, what is not always true but is use tu be, or it's stereotypely.
