by realising that no-one has the right to tell anyone what to believe. i wouldn't want you to change my belief's, so i don't want to change yours. if everyone adopted that attitude, we'd all be fine.

There is no way. When beliefs contradict, to say you accept the opposing beliefs is to be a hypocrite. For example, if you were a Christian you could live harmoniously enough with Muslims - this does not necessarily make you accepting of their beliefs (because if you believed in Allah and his Prophet instead of Christ, you would not be a Christian by definition). The question (if world peace and what not were really your concern) would be how to make people accept that other people have different beliefs from yourself and that despite your beliefs it will be a better world if you don't impose your beliefs on others.

See the world, don't just read about it in the press. They want to frighten us and sell more news. I have just come back from Central Asia and have not read papers or read much news on line for nearly a year. I felt relaxed and under no pressure to adopt any particular point of view about anything. Nobody was telling me that I am under threat all the time and that was a good feeling.
It is not possible to straddle all the fences, have an opinion on everything and know all the answers. Just be as nice a person as you can, avoid pointless arguments and remember that it is human nature to stick to your own kind, whether it means family, religion, politics or age group. We will always be tribal even in this global society. Our access to the world allows for the views of so many others to flood over us. Don't let it overwhelm you and accept that you can't accept everything!

Most of us were taught our beliefs as children and we have never really thought about them. Accept the fact that other people's beliefs were taught to them when they were children also. As long as a person's beliefs guide them in good ways, it does not matter what their religion is called. The main purpose of any religion is to cause people to examine their conscience often to see if they are leading a good life.

the easiest way for that to happen is for people to learn to settle on agreeing to disagree, instead of debating or arguing which goes nowhere. im not sure if its possible for everyone to accept each others beliefes but its definitely possible to respect everyones opinions, people just need to realize it.

Acceptance is not the key. You should learn about the other beliefs and try to understand them. After that make up your own mind about waht you want to believe in.

there is no way to accept everyone believes, it is something impossible. If you accept the belief of 'A' that women should work, it will probably contradict with 'B's belief that women should not work.

Maybe what we need is to respect each others' beliefs/

Just to believe that everyone is taought differently. what we are taought -by our parents, family, schools, society and religious sect- are different. We are what our parents are. If I were born in your family, I would be of the same nationality, religion, group, breed or whatever your father is and vice versa.
Moreover, it applies to everyone with very little exceptions.

The only way the people will come together and forget bigotries and prejudice is if we discover life on another planet, then everyone will hate and fear them instead, sad but true!
