All good bands.
Mine: Metallica. I was there at the start, and as my taste in music changed, so did they.

Man! ya know , you actually got me stumped! I can't think of ONE band that hasn't let everyone down in one way or another since they started their respected careers. Example: Pantera. I got hooked on them boys after seeing a video with them playing at a Moscow Music Festival , so i picked up "Cowboys From Hell" , and THAT was some pretty hard hitting tight sh#t! I also had "Vulgar Display" and that was pretty good , but after that they lost me - too many Dime solo's featuring playin the noise effect instead of just goin for it, Phil wasn't singing ANYTHING anymore , etc. I DID buy "reinventing the steel" though , and i've listened to it maybe 3 times since i got it when it came out....

The Beatles and they even blew it with the last album. The problem lies when a band releases it's first disc they usually have a fresh sound and loads of material to choose from, so if the release a killer disc on their first or second attempt then they are trying to top it for the rest of their career and few ever do.
