the qualifying stages aren't knock out, these are specally kept to tune the teams and clear are the pending warnings like yellow cards and stuff
the second round is a knock -out stage
u lose and your out , there is no room for error
lot of really good teams have lost in the second round like netherlands aussies and now spain
france will meet brazil next and ofcourse will lose this time :)

After group stages - which finished last week. Round 2 onwards is straight knock out. Round 2 was last 16. Next is the Quarter finals, Semi then Final - ala most knockout tournaments. So yes Spain out.

yes they are, coz they're not in the qualifying round anymore. the world cup finals had move to quarter final now after Spain been beaten.

they're still going to play against brazil, germany, portugal, italy, ukraine, argentina, israel, tazmania, jamaica, etc but not in this year's world cup for sure; maybe in 2010? You never know...
