I loved the film, I've seen it so many times now and I always cry at the end.

I wasn't as emotionally invested in Brokeback Mountain as I was in Tom Hanks and Antonio Banderas in "Philadelphia." The Brokeback characters just didn't seem as accessible to me (a straight man). It was a very good movie, though.

Personally, I don't feel that this movie was a love story between two men. They did not see enough other too often, and were quite afraid of what others would think if others knew what they were doing. One seemed to love the other, but it was not clear what the other man was truly feeling.
It also seemed like the two men were bisexual as opposed to gay since they both did marry women and successfully have children.

I think it was a movie more about confusion than love.

Did I feel the love? yes. Did I think its one of the best movies ever? No.

I have argued that they could have told the same story and left sex out of it. It could have been a story about two guys who just were so tight and so emotionally there for each other that it alienated their wives and made people question their sexuality. Not syaing it shouldn't be what it is, but the alternate appraoch would have been just as effective.

Well i thought it was a great movie and when i told everyone about it most of them looked at the cover and said ewww no and the other ones said that they did not like it.. but i think it was just because they were bi..

anyway i was like why don't you run away together the whole movie.. i did not like the part when the one went and got a male hooker. but everything else was great.

It was good love story. The love that they projected on the screens have really showed up well. I felt so much for the said movie and I am sure, most people did. :)
