Wake up. Of course she's a phony!!! She went to Africa to gift birth to her baby, and spent all her time in a resort for multi-millionaires. If she really cared for the down and out, she'd give her money away and serve soup in an AIDS camp, instead of jet setting around the planet. Don't buy it for one minute!

Not in the least. I don't think that at all. I think she's real, and geunine in all she does, wether it be seen as weird, or kind I don't think she cares how she's percieved by others. I think she's a real non-conformist person, much like myself, and furthermore unlike alot of other celebs, there's a whole lot of charity work that she does that's not covered by the media, and that should tell you something. She'll raise awearness but, she doesn't flaunt it, like many celebs who'll just give money, then pop open a bottle of chapagne while smiling directly at the camera w/ a politician smile. Furthermore if she didn't care she could just give money, and leave, but, she doesn't do that. A phony can only keep up an act for so long, and a phony wants the easest way to attention, where Angolina takes time out of her busy schedual to be w/ the ppl in Cambodia, and while I believe she's passionate, and wants to raise awearness, she doesn't always invite ppl to cover her, or only talk about that 1 thing, or how much she gave like the fakes who want you to write down every good work, and she has real emotion, which even actors, and actresses seem to have trouble faking for long periods of time. Now Brad on the other hand, I think is kinda phony, and doing it to woo her but, I think she's very real, and down to earth, and you can see it when you look into her eyes, or just look at her life, and you'll see her words, unlike the fakes who codradict themselves, her words match her actions.

Yes, I kind of get that feeling. She is after all an actress although I do think she is looking for a purpose in her life like we all are. Her dad is Jon Voight, she went to Beverly Hills high school. I'm not judging a person by their upbringing all good people come from different backgrounds but the girl's life is a lot different from your average everyday folk. Not to mention she is gorgeous on top of that, already won an academy award, and is with (or stole) Brad Pitt, the sexiest man alive. Her head has got to be a little screwed from all of that. This may be a little bit cold but I believe true humanitarianism starts from humility which she is lacking of at the moment. She can hang out with all the flies and deprived children all she wants but at the end of the day she's still a millionaire.

Angelina Jolie have risen from the party girl, free spirited, rebellious, could not care less person to the opposite. She was brought up shielded from all types of hardship in the good old Hollywood. When she finally see the world beyond big cities (specifically Cambodia), I guess something clicked - she is very intelligent obviously but her lifestyles does not reflect her intelligence before.
It takes a lot of courage to abandoned the lifestyles she always knew, spending her own money travelling to this countries doing all sorts of things for the UN. She has revealed she gives away one third of her earnings to the cause.
Phony, I do not think so. In my opinion, she has lived up to her humanitarian efforts. She's used her fame to lets us know of the world's problem related to children, refugees and starvation.
Extra opinion: I personally think that Oprah should invite her over to her show as Angelina's work is remarkably important, more than some of her other guests. But as we all know, Oprah is a good friend of Jennifer Aniston. Too bad for Angelina.

A few months ago I would have answered "yes" but now I have changed my mind. She did seem pretty crazy there for awhile especially with Billy Bob Thornton(What was she thinking?) and the kiss with her brother at the Academy Awards (Really weird!). Also, her quote in Vanity Fair magazine " I would never date a married man, that`s just not something I would do."
Time has passed and she has evolved into one of the few celebrities who has put their money and support where their mouth is. I have always thought she was unique and beautiful and now I consider her to be very smart, well informed and down to earth as her interview on CNN showed. I admire her and I think she is turning into a good role model for young women in the sense that you should follow who you are and don`t let anyone or anything stop you from pursuing your own destiny.

No...I don't think anyone but a true humanitarian could stand being in the most desolate places in the world for any period of time if they were phony. From all I have read though, Brad Pitt isn't handling it all that well and only because he is hooked on her does he stay with her. Have heard she is not really all that hooked on him, but cares for him and realizes he is wonderful for the causes that she wants to promote.
She could be whooping it up in clubs, drinking champagne every night of the week wearing designer clothes for free, just because it will promote their line, but instead has she not only adopted two foreign children, she spends weeks and MONTHS, not hours as most celebs, at at time, at corner of the earth that even hardened reporters do not want to go to! She has even gotten other celebs involved in her cause, despite their protests and at last resort, appealing to them as it will promote their career if they do something good for something other them themselves for a change?
She might be a little off kilter and have a martyr complex, but I think she is for real.

I do not think she's a phony.
It is hard to believe that other people are driven by genuinely good feelings - probably, because I am driven by more selfish causes.
I am myself a committed ( and an obsessive) person. I can see how one can choose a cause and go after and pursue it no matter what. I think she's like that. She is a perturbed and disturbed person. It's good for her that she found an honourable cause and is sticking with it - better then cutting her body or whatever other self-destructive thing she used to do.

no , she is not a phony ... maybe a little weird... the whole Tommy lee and the "kiss" with her brother... and the whole thing of going after a married man ... seems his former marriage was already going down hill... anyways all that make her definitely weird...
but her humanitarian efforts doesn't seem at all phony...
it is simply not that easy to give money away... especially for a purpose where you are not at the receiving end...

Of course she's a celebrity...all of them are publicity seekers if they weren't we wouldn't know who they are. I'm not saying I don't like celebs for that fact, I'm just pointing out a very obvious fact...the really big stars fight for attention and the lime light so much now that they just try to top one another with more and more shocking news. Look at Tom Cruise and believe me it hurts to use him as an example: him and Nicole Kidman break up next thing you know he's with Katie Holmes engaged and she's got a bun in the oven! With in months!! Umm, dunno about anyone else but I sure didn't see that coming. So in other words they achieved exactly what they set out to do...shock the hell out of everyone so we pay attention to them. Nicole Kidman is marrying Keith Urban...enough said.
All in all I really think all celebs are fake for all us the public knows their daily lives could be scripted...that's going a little far...but honestly do you really think the celebs publicists have nothing to do with their daily lives they have to make money some how and if their clients face is not on every magazine cover...well they aren't making money now are they. I truly believe that publicists are right up there with lawyers as far as sliminess goes. Just give it a thought.

It does feel a little forced at times. 'We don't know what race baby to adopt next' is a bit pants. Still, no matter what the reasons behind it, the two of them are doing good things - surely you're only a phony if your saying and not doing...

I do not think Angelina Jolie is being a phony. I think she is just being true to herself and her ideals, hence one can really see that she tries to do so much for those she believes need to be helped.
