What are the main weakness of India ?And where is the main India?

In sense what does India lack..to compete wit other nations. even compared to western countries..And wheres the main India because when ever i meet Indians living abroad and i ask them where they from they say im from punjab..or Gujarat or kerala but none would say India so which part of people are real Indians and
I think its the way Indians think

Main weakensses are not country its only peoples who make it weak or strong.. the thikning nneded to be changed..that spell of castesism which casted over for many years..nneded to spelled out..

Delhi is the heart of the country which after suffering from many strokes..waiting for the last one.. and Mumbai ,brain behind development of India

many NRI are from Punjabi or Guju's but none of them hail from Bihar .M.P ..many states which still under the clutches of few peoples.. and evolution of far off.. they just became a lobour states..and other states..look from labour from these places..only..
all we nned to change our thinking.. ..i can't write all of my view.s.. soory for that..

The real Indians live in Bombay..And the rest of the Indians hardly know the National language of India hindi..So bombay is the real India punjab,gujarat kerala these are just the country side of India and doesnt speak hindi.

Well in my opinion main weakness of India is:
We Indian always think about our individual responsibilities/duty...
Most of us do not realize our responsibilities towards our nation.
I think over population is also not a major problem as we have china as a good example to overcome from it.
Job opportunities are also here but we need to do something about our education pattern and mentality.
For example rather than looking for government job we can also look towards better opportunity in private sector.

There is no such thing as main India...28 states and seven union territories makes complete India.
India is very rich in Languages and heritage.
It has 23 official languages (including Hindi & English) and at least 800 different languages and around 2000 dialects have been identified.
Each and every part of India is main and real India and has a different look of beauty of India.

The main weakness of India is people isolating themselves rather than uniting. Like the 2 people above said Mumbai and Gujrat are the best places. This is what India lacks.... Unity in Diversity. If we were united all together and did not have a regional superiority complex, the British would never stay for 200 years or rather never take over us in the first place.This is what i feel India lacks.

The main problems that India faces are the poverty and overpopulation. I think that in turn causes many other problems. "Real Indians" are all over India and not from one part. Yes, it also has got to do with the way people think.

if u were to ask me what is the main weakness of india,

i'd say a sense of belief and confidence in ourselves, our abilities and our country.

otherwise why is it that we always have to look upto other countries for appreciating our talent,

we tend to be sceptic about our capabilities as a nation.
we lack the confidence and killing instinct which is required so much to succeed.


i dont think that there is anything wrong with people talking about their states, coz this is what makes india so special.

I guess, because of similarity between the names of American Indian and Asian Indian,when you ask them that where they are from,they will ask you their own state or city.I think the main India is Banglor state where I am so eager to have a journey to there.
