Nothing is going on, Warren Buffet is getting old, and Bill Gates has enough money, so why should he continue to knock himself out. And the CEO of Amazon.com's spaceship is only capable of sub-orbital flight, so he wouldn't get very far if the world was coming to an end. Don't worry about such things, as you face a much bigger chance of being killed in a car accident, or crossing the street as opposed to seeing the world come to an end within your lifetime.

The world will eventually be destroyed, as will everything. ?(a planet sized asteroid????[if space and time are infinite, mathematically, this will eventuallyhappen]
I think your question is really about life,as opposed to the world. Everyone should know global warming is already messing up environments, that will preceed species extinction. If Bill Gates and warren Buffet are the smartest people on the planet, I give up hope on mankind. Money and fame and popularity have nothing to do with wisdom, knowledge, or a persons intellect.

Very interesting question. No idea. But there was a meeting in Ottawa Canada by the most wealth and influential people that you might never hear about them in TV. The meeting was closed doors. It is very scetch what are they thinking and planing about since not even a hint was dropped to what their conversation was. The security was so tight that a mile far from the building there were security guards.
