No,because whites are trying to prove we are more related to apes than they are which this how slavery came about. If they believe that in the past, black intelligence is equal to an ape what do you think they taught their future off springs. Blacks are inferior.

I think there are many 'Blacks' who are equal if not even a bit superior in intelligence compared with or to 'Whites'. There should be no "inferior" if we are all equal as should be. Ignorance makes for inferiority; it has no color. What is important is "Who" we are not so much "what" we do. But of course if we do what is "good" & "right", how can anyone be considered inferior? Ego may play a major role there. I don't think there is any real actual "scientific" proof of the black man's inferiority. There's plenty of "proof" that anyone of any color or race can be viewed as inferior. Like I said, Ignorance is a big factor. Prejudice really makes me sick. We have to have intelligence to be viewed as intelligent, right? Regardless of skin color. Best Wishes.

No, black people as a whole, will not be viewed as equals to the general population because people often confuse race with class. Given equal educational access and opportunities, blacks can perform very well. Because there are many poor blacks in urban ghettos and in areas that lack resources, people assume that just because one is black one is inferior. In actuality, any person, no matter what race, living in a poverty stricken environment have many obstacles to overcome in order to increase intelligence and knowledge.

Economics plays a huge role in intelligence.

It has been my experience that those who feel inferior have not looked at themselves as equal. As well as they play the blame game. Just because someone does not grow up on the good or rich side doesn't mean they can't get the same education as others, been to the not so good schools and still able to get an education and get a decent job.
They just need to stop making excuses and start doing for themselves as others have done.

Gen. Colin Powell - I have meet the man and can say without a doubt one of the brightest stars for young black people.

Not economics. Certainly not scientific proof.
There is not one "race" smarter than the rest. That's rather Nazi-ish. If someone tells you that, you need to search for new friends. ...or study more. But the mere fact that you asked means you are trying to find out the truth, which is lot smarter than most people.
Intelligence is not defined by race or nationality or creed. Its defined by hard work and perseverance. I'm "white" (more of a pinkish red) and my best friend is "black" (more of a dark chocolate). what that has to do with our brains is beyond me. Might have something to do with our education, but that wouldn't be race, but opportunity; he is from Nigeria and I'm from the states, but most people, if they are "intelligent" learn more outside of school than in it. He passed me in that looong ago.
My advice? Read read read. (be selective, but read.) Intelligence is not so much what you know though, as to your "capacity for knowledge" and that includes being "intelligent" or wise with the knowledge you possess. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom.

I think a lot of people already believe that black people are just as intelligent as whites, or any other race, for that matter.
The problem I have seen is only in education. And as you say, that is due mostly to economics.
But there are cultural differences, too. I have known black people in college who's friends called them names like "uncle tom" for wanting to get an education.
But there is nothing you can do about society as a whole. The best thing to worry about is how YOU can go to college.
Who knows, maybe in the future, you can be the one who proves once and for all that black people are equal.

I think everyone knows that more pigments in your skin has nothing to do with IQ. I think it has a lot to do with the vicious circle of hate that started with slavery and racism.. let's face it.. racism creates hate.. and not everyone can be mature about it and try to be the better person.. especially if you know most of the whites that are racist are probably rednecks who couldn't have an intelligent conversation.. being looked down upon is not easy, and over many generations, that creates a pattern where generations tend to settle.. because it is easier to settle than to go against the current.. it is so complicated..but I do think much of that has to do with economics, and this erroneous white superiority complex..

I don't think there is any scientific difference between the intelligence of blacks and any other race. Like you said, the majority is economics, and lack of many blacks having the ability to get an education.

It does not help that the black adolescent racial subculture is very much against learning/higher education and promotes ignorance and/or stupidity.

When they're was slavery white people killed the smartest and keept the strongest. Does this effect black people of today, lets look at sports and the ratio of black too white people in Post-Highschool institutes. This supports the theorie, but it is just that. What I'm trying to say is that color of your skin does not change intelligence.Genes do. Please don't feel offended about this. I see all black peoples as equals, all colors for that matter.

There is no reason black people can't equal or surpass whites in intelligence. It's merely a matter of circumstance, culture, economics, etc. Look at Thurgood Marshall, among others.
