I believe so. I want to believe so. If not so than I would feel very sad. Einstein proposed the theory that nothing bound to mass will be able to travel faster than the speed of light. I think that is very discouraging for someone who belives that anything is possible. I believe that one day we will be able to travel through worm holes and not depend in light at all. I think that there are other universes where 2+2 does not necessary equal 4. I am a big fan of multidimension universe. I mean gravity is very interesting and very little known to man that we can only praise the effect we can measure. I believe that some other force has created this universe, these dimensions we talk about, and there are so many things that there are out there but we are limited to our ability as a human being. I usually use the analogy that if the radio is bound only to sound it does not mean that TV will be bound only to sound also. In other words, just because we don't have the capacity to do something, it does not mean that that something does not exist. Sometimes I feel scared when I think of all these strange things that could be in our space but we are just unaware of them. But you can imagine how strange it must have been for the renassance people when they heard from Galileo that earth rotates around sun and not vice-versa. It is all a matter of adaptation to the new knowledge, culture, reality etc., that most of us have trouble adjucting to such revolutionary changes.

You can look back in time with telescopes. When you see a star sparkle in the sky, you're seeing an image of what the star looked like millions of years ago. It may even be possible to see the universe a few minutes after the big bang with a big enough telescope.
Space and time are linked in a continuim. The space-time around black holes is stretched so time moves differenlty there. Unfortunately going to within a few light years of a black hole would be lethal so we'll never know if it's possible to time travel there.
No humans have ever come back from the future so I'd say we will never time travel.

Mathematically it already is possible or at least viable but we have not figured out how to harness that type of energy. The theory of worm holes pretty much sums it up. Time is actually bent into a "pretzel" yet one remains traveling no faster than the speed of light. Its a really cool theory to explore. I just can't figure out why were wasting so much money with the whole space thing when we should be figuring out the human brain. if we could utilize 80-90% of our brains, space wouldn't be such a mystery...just my opinion though.

Yes, yet as Einstein stated, when an object reaches the speed of light it turns into pure energy. So according to that theory, a ship could NOT power itself to light speed because once that speed was reached the integrity of the ship would fall apart. The only way would be to have something that would eject an object at light speed and another one that could catch the energy and put it all back together.

No, but in theory it cannot exist. It was explained to me in Physics class. If one were to travel to the future to see their future selves they couldn't because they would cease to exist because they left time all together when went into the future. Our teacher used the example if you went ahead 1 minute into the future, you would not be present for the minute that you skipped because you left the minute before and time is continuing without you.
It's really confusing, but if you think about it you'll get it...
