Becasue he is the PAST of Indian Cricket now. He is better off playing County Cricket.

Though he did very well in indian DOMESTic matches as well as in the couple of test matches he had been allowed to play, he was removed from the indian squad. He is playing county for northampshire and he scored a 71 in a limited overs match and also got 2 wickets and contributed 15 runs (15 balls) in a Twenty20 match.
I guess he was asked to suck off chapell which he refused to do while Dravid is enjoying it.( I mean that and the captaincy ;-)
Joke on Ricko the dicko. Playing county is better than cribbing that i have a bad shoulder, bad knee, bad *** etc. ala Tendulkar. do you know how much money they make in the county circuit. One pound is 85 indian rupees or prob more. look at the exchange rate

first of all he is the best batsman in this world, forget about allrounder, for that matter sachin is a better allrounder, anyways, there are ideots like greg chapple how has been kicked out of australlia who is now running the cricket in india, so saurav is out of the team, but saurav will be back soon, as kiran more is retiring in september,

Politics(so much money and control) - Cricket (In which he was no longer good)
so he decided to choose politics
becoz he wasnt in such a good batting form and there werenot many chances of him to improve his form thats why
