I checked the legs, the feet, the tongue, the eyes, the wool, the butt, the ****, and the teeth of 3000 sheep I bought before I would give them to a few hundred villager families that I did not know. I could not find anyone to do the job for me, no one I could really trust, and so, I did it all.

Have you ever tried to catch a sheep? Sounds easy. It's not so difficult. Okay. Have you ever tried NOT TO BUY a sheep because it's not in good health? Much more difficult. If the owner is some sort of a creepy mafia guy, you can tell him to get lost, and eat his sheep. But if the owner of a bad, sick, weak, dying sheep is an old, old, old man who's got only one hope left, and that is, that is that you will buy his sheep, what do you do?

This is probably not much compared to others, but one day I stopped at the gas station to fill up my car with gas. It was a really lean time for me and my family. We could barely pay for groceries. A young woman came to me and asked if she could borrow $3.00 to put a gallon of gas in her car so she could make it to work and back for a few more days before she got her pay check.

I don't know what made me do it, but I walked over to her gas pump, slid my ATM card and told her to fill up her tank. It wasn't until I received the receipt for a full tank of gas at over $3.00/gallon that I almost fainted and wondered what the heck I did.

I had to go back to my husband and explain my actions. But, I still don't feel bad because I have been help by so many people in my life that it was my opportunity to pay it forward. Maybe one day, she will help someone in need as well.

I was in San Francisco in the rain. This guy was trying to cross the street with his groceries and his bag ripped and his stuff fell in the street as the light changed. I helped him pick up his stuff even though there were cars coming. Anyone that has been to SF knows what a dangerous proposition this is in SF since the drivers there see pedestrians as targets. Everything turned out okay though.

I was driving down the road one day and I stopped at a stoplight and a little old lady was stuck in the middle of the crosswalk in her wheelchair. She was trying to push her way across but she couldn't. So I got out of my car and pushed her across and when I got to the other side she asked me if I could go to the grocery store and buy her a few things because that's where she was going. I did (my friend that I was with followed us in my car) and then she asked me if I would push her to her apartment so I did. When we got to her apartment, she lived upstairs of course, she actually crawled up the stairs to her apartment and I followed her and gave her groceries. To this day I can't believe it.

i volunteered my townhouse for katrina victims. the hardest part was actually not signing up for it, as this seemed to me what anyone else would have done for me in that situation. but fending off subtle criticisms from one of my republican friends and even my own dad, suggesting this was not a very wise investment idea or a very lucrative use of my property -- now THAT deserved a frikkin medal!

While staying in Sacramento while my father in law had surgery my daughter and I went to McDonalds. On the drive back to the hotel we saw a homeless woman. I turned the car around and went back and bought her 2 bags of food and my daughter gave her a flower that was given to her while we were at the hospital. She was so grateful and tho she was dirty we accepted her hugs of thanks.
