my sister is 13. and she has babyphat which she paid for and like 100s of other things that she paid for. now she wants a dooney and bourke purse and 3 coach purses. shes paying half and my mom will pay the other half. she want a louis vuitton purse but it cost $1000 + just for one so she was thinking about knockoff but she though it was ghetto even though we arent middle class a little lower than that but she earns her money. do you think this is good? because i feel if she wants to look good and she pays for it everything is good. but some people say its bad. what do you think?

i think its kind of crazy for the 13 year old to have multiple expensive purses. honestly, there is nothing wrong with a knock off, you can't even tell. maybe you should buy one or have your mom buy one for her and pretend its real, she probably won't know the difference to be honest with you. i have a LV backpack and people think i spent a lot of money on it, when i only spent around 50, which is great. i think that if she really wants the purses, she should pay for a majority of the purse, not half.

So what, I have a lot more then just designer purses if it's not designer, don't count on me to own it. My mom doesn't care but my grandma does. So yes I say she should be just like anyone else and able to have the purses.

I think that your sister is a bit young to own lots of designer gear. I think kids should be taught to appreciate the true value of stuff instead of the label on it. Loads of stuff is really great and it doesn't have a designer label. But if your sister wants an item because she really likes it, and not because it's designer, and she paids for it herself, good for her.

I feel that if your mom agrees with it, it is perfectley fine when I was 12 I got 5 louis v. and 3 dooney and bourke's......so I do't see what the problem is.. You don't need to worrie about it she's fi it's not hurting her!

she could have designer things becos its in vouge and am sure ull want ur sis to be in vouge. but the problem is when she is exposed to alot of these things, now later in life when she has to be on her own and she doesnt av much money it wld be difficult for her to use jst any kindda thing cos she is used to designers and this might lead to various dangerous things like stealling, pushing drugs and so on jst to live up to the standard she set for her self this might or will ruin her life. so it is advicable for her to minimize the designer things she is getting now

she should just get one designer purse and thats it, if image is that much of an issue, one expensive purse should be enough. (buying expensive things to make yourself feel better is also assoicated with confidence issues)
its such a hassle to keep switching purses anyway.

i think your sister is a hoe in the making. no, it's not ok for teens in your income bracket to own things like that. it sets a wrong precedent that these things are more important than education. i suggest you bitchslap her 1000x times so she'll snap out of it lol
