In my opinion abortion is wrong and against god!!!!!!!
But if a women is raped or she and the baby will die if she trys to take it to term then I could understand. Something must be done about the high rate of abortion. Make it easier for a young girl to get free and confidential contraception. Give girls easier access to the choice of adoption. offer more choices to young girl that do find themselves pregnant. GED programs, Job counselors etc. Not to make it look like its ok, but to give young girls other options than abortions or garbage cans. Something has to be done to many women us abortion as a way of birth control. Without understanding the risk of abortion short and long term. AS WELL AS THE GUILT AND REMORSE OVER KILLING THERE OWN CHILD.
Another thing for thought, two people make a baby correct and they are both responsible for raising it, then why is it just the "women's choice" why can't he have a say to, he made it to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This probably not what your looking for-for your report -this is my opinion hope I could help good luck!!!!!!!!

I don't agree with abortion at all. EVER. I see people who claim to be pro-life unless it's a case of rape or the mother's life is in jeopardy. Then you're not pro-life... I have never been raped and neither of my pregnancies have caused me to be near death. If I were raped, I'd carry the baby to term and place it up for adoption. SO many people in the US want babies, especially newborns, and have to resort to going to China, Russia, and other countries to get them.

I say right now that I would never have an abortion...I don't care what the reasoning behind it may be. Nothing in life is certain, and no doctor on this planet can tell me 100% for sure that my pregnancy will definitely kill me. The ONLY way I would say yes, take the baby, is if it were an ectopic pregnancy, could be seen on ultrasound and I was having all the classic symptoms. If it was a normal pregnancy in my uterus and the doctor said, "Well, chances are this this and this could happen...it's best to abort it." then no...

With my first son, I had an early ultrasound and the doctor said he saw "something" in one of my tubes. He wanted to go in and do exploratory surgery to rule out ectopic pregnancy. He said the chances I'd lose the baby that was in my uterus (I was only 6 or 7 weeks pregnant) were pretty high. He thought I had twins, and only one of them had made it to my uterus and the other was ectopic. He even brought down a team of specialists to try to convince me to have this surgery. (This wasn't at some hack clinic somewhere...this was at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit...and excellent hospital.) Keep in mind that I was having no pain, no symptoms, no nothing that could possibly cause this much concern...I was feeling great. I thanked him for his time and left, never returning. I found an new OB and it turns out that that "thing" in my fallopian tube was a corpus luteum cyst...very common during early pregnancy. Eventually it ruptured and was reabsorbed into my body. If I had gone through with that surgery, I would have lost my son that is now nearly 2 1/2.

I think abortion is a sad, sad thing. I've yet to hear of or meet anyone who has had an abortion for any reason other than pure selfishness. Babies are "inconvenient". They'll "ruin my life". "I'm too young to be a mother." Blah blah dee blah. Try keeping your legs closed is what I have to say to those people.

I don't think that anyone has the right to catagorically say that abortion is wrong because there are too many factors to take into consideration.
Everyone's postion is different and people should have the right to chose whether to go through with a pregnancy or not...it's not always a case that the person was neglectful and just getting themselves out of a situation...sometime they are doing it because it would be wrong to bring a baby into the world under certain circumstances.
I'm sure that anyone going through it does not do it lightly and weighs up the pros and cons before doing it.
It is not always the wrong thing to do.

What you or I, or any person, persons, groups, government agencies or religions think of abortion should have very little or nothing to do with the making of laws of any kind, or in anyway, that would allow the governments or Church's intervention in the civil rights of women and abortion.
Should they choose to discuss their views of abortion as a moral issue, well hey, that's ok, we're a country of free speech,..right?
Free speech shouldn't be confused the harassment of pregnant women. There should be in forced laws preventing that,
The word abortion, is used to inflame, and distract the public's eye from the real issues. Which of course is a women's rights.
Right off the bat I have to ask, who or what gave any man the right to decide what is or isn't good for women or abortion. They're men.
How presumptuous.
This is still America, isn't it? Did we throw away the Bill of Rights? I must have missed the part that said we could do that. And what about the separation of church and state. Seems to me it the church making the biggest stink. And I haven't heard of any large amount of anti- abortionists offering to adopt.
This is simply about a women's having the right to make her own choices.
Their right to freely use an elective medical procedure available to them.

Every child is a gift from God. There are so many ways to prevent pregnancy, and abortion isn't an option that I could ever do. Life is sacred, and I believe that human life starts at conception. Even if you do get pregnant and you can't or don't want to keep the baby, there are thousands of couples out there just praying for the chance to have a child.

I personally think that, everything happens for a reason. Some women might not feel that way, there is women out there that is trying very hard to have a baby and can't and there is some women out there that is throwing them away like they throw there garbage at home like it's nothing, i feel that if god blesses you with the chance to have a child have it. we as humans have no right to take lifes, i would say that person that wants to have an abortion should evaluate themselves and think real hard on why there still here on earth and breathing there parents didn't throw them away. Remember a baby is a blessing sent from heaven above and if you can conceive a bundle of joy do so i have a sister that has been trying for many of years to have one and she has not conceived yet and she wants to have a baby. Once again to all the ladies out there think real hard if it ever crosses your mind to go to clinic and throw an innocent life of away. sit and figure out why your here on this earth.

This is a black and white area its ok but it isn't i say it is only OK if this happens A girl gets raped and gets pregnant then its OK to have an abortion. But on the other hand if it is consensual then if the girl don't want it then it should be put up for adoption or it is also OK if it is to risky for the mom to go through with it if it's possible high chance of dying during it then id say that would be OK to abort then as well but only in them situations is it OK if anything other then them 2 then it should be put up for adoption

I think that people should be able to have abortions if they would like. Most of the attacks on abortion (and I say most, not all) are by religious people. Our laws should not be made by religion because by law state and religion should be seperate. I feel that way because I am a woman, if I needed to have an abortion (for ANY reason, even as simple as not being ready), then I feel I should be able to.

I am personally against abortion. I think that if you are old enough to take on the responsibility of sex, you should be ready and responsible to deal with the possible consequences.
That baby didn't ask to be brought into this world....so who says it is your right to take it out??? it shouldn't have to suffer for something that you did.

There are millions of infertile couples, that would love to adopt a baby. At least give your baby a chance at life.

see up top where it says "search for questions?"

type in "abortion" and you'll get 10000's of opinions.

work from those

and ignore anything a man says: they havent got a womb, so they dont get an opinion (yes, I'm talking to the idiot above who thinks men should control women just because they have a penis. When they have to carry a fetus, they can decide what to do with it.)
