Well, I'll be honest ... it's a very difficult profession. Not only is it difficult to start out (getting an agent, getting auditions), but it's a very slim chance that you'll (or anyone else) reach superstar status. (and it's also difficult portraying a character, with a room full of people watching you under a ridiculous amount of hot lights) Especially at your age, because most parts for children go to actors/actresses who are older. If a film needs a 14 year old actress, they will audition actresses anywhere from 12 to 17 ... as long as you can pass for 14, they will see you. And if it comes down to choosing between a 14 year old and a 17 year old who have basically the same experience, they will most likely go with the 17 year old, because they can be on set longer and work longer hours with less breaks (there are laws that they have to follow). It basically comes down to their monetary bottom line - who can they get the most out of for the least amount of money in the least amount of time.
That being said, there is ALWAYS a chance that anything can happen. My 7 year old neice got a leading part in a movie with NO acting credits on her resume, and they even changed the age of her character so that it fit her. So miracles can and do happen all the time.
If you are really serious about wanting to act, talk to your parents/guardians about it. You can't do anything without their support anyway. They have to take you on auditions, be with you on the set if you book anything, etc. If you live in NY or LA area, you have A LOT of options for agents/managers ... do some research on the internet about when they have open calls or what to include in mailings ... a few good snapshots of your face, and a 3/4 or full body shot ... no suggestive clothing, or looking older ... try to represent yourself as you really are.
BEWARE OF SCAMS! Any company that approaches you in a mall for instance, and says "You're so pretty, you could be a model/actress" ... they are a scam 99% of the time ... If ANY agent/manager asks you for money, THEY ARE A SCAM! Agents and managers only make money off of you when you get a job that they send you out on ... agents get 10% and managers get 15%. Any agent/manager that says you need headshots and tells you to go to a SPECIFIC photographer is a scam - they are getting money from that photographer for sending them clients ... research any company that you hear from.
While you are waiting to get an agent, try taking some drama classes in your school, or in your community ... try out for a local play ... get any experience that can help you with your craft. I wish you luck!

Maybe if you try hard. You have to sacrifice traditional school, your friends, your privacy, and well, you have to be able to act.
Not saying that you can't, but it's not an easy industry to break into.
