For all who answer this and wonder, I am not racist against anyone or anything in the world. This was just a question of curiosity from what I've heard about racists against Iranians.

Racism comes from ignorance of other cultures. Some people with low esteem become racist because they believe they belong to a 'superior' race.

Many Americans are against the Iranians because of the hostage situation during 1979 and 1980. Americans also tend to be suspicious of theocracies because we believe in the separation of church and state. The fear is that religious ideology or dogma from what is considered an extreme fundamentalist regime threatens peace and stability through nuclear development. Especially since the president of Iran has stated that Israel does not have a right to exist and is denying the Holocaust.

Racism has always been an issue in life.

People are against the RADICAL ISLAMIST, not all Iranians. There are even Christians in Iran and others very much against what their government is doing.

Part of Islam is Jihad against non Islams. This causes extremists to want to kill all non-Moslems. This attitude against hate is more the aim of racists.

Also, racists often stero-type people and think all people of any specific grouping are the same.

Because they never had friends from Iran or
have gotten to know people from the Middle East.
It is upsetting that there are so many conflicts that are a result of greed, ignorance, and irrational fear. I think it would be awesome to see Persia! Iranians are people who want the best in life and have similar experiences as Americans. We are all people of the earth... I know I sound like a hippie but I'm being sincere!

I have no problem with Iran or the Iranians. They're doing the same thing we've been doing for ages and they have every right to.
Half of what you hear in the media is garbage anyway.

Because Iranians have been falsly labeled ( mis-labeled) as terorrist although they have not made any terrorist acts with the exception of the U.S. embassy take over during the Iranian revolution of 1979

That is a good question, because I am not one of the prejudiced ones.
Most prejudice comes from selfishness and laziness on the prejudiced person's part. and also from the parents as a learned behavior.
