Because the are backstabbers,if you cannot say it to their face them don't at all.or they are jealous and need to grow up,but sometimes people talk about others in good ways.

It's a part of our primate socialization. People bond with each other by gossiping about someone else. When someone gossips with you, they are showing that they trust you and respect your opinion. Studies have shown that men are more likely to be viscious and mean in their gossip while women gossip to figure out other people's motives.

insecurities. people talk about others to make themselves feel better for a particular reason of themselves. it could be a big head or ugly clothes, could even be relationships causing people to feel insecure. insecurities can lead to envy others which result in gossip.

ppl talk abt others for various reasons....u kno a li'l awareness abt the ppl around u wont harm anyone unless 'n until its stretched like a chewed gum n turned into a rumor......now thts a nasty thin to do. ppl also talk abt others when they'r envious...jealous.....or they really admire the one they'r talkin abt.......
